Review: Minion Operation from #Hasbro

Minion Operation Hasbro

Despicable Me 2 is now in theaters and I for one am dying to see it, but until I can, I can play with the Minions at home and get a few giggles in.

Hasbro, my awesome friends, have introduced a few games to go along with these adorable little denim-overall clad yellow guys who work for Gru, the first of which is Minion Operation.

Instead of the traditional pieces you extract during ‘surgery’ in Operation, you extract Minion-worthy ones such as a Cupcake Cavity or a Trigger Finger and even a banana (note, Nondad found the banana the hardest to get, it was a riot!).

To add a bit of a twist to the original game, when you get specific combinations of parts extracted, you win a Minion! Yes, a set of little Minions comes with the game, and with all of the Minion themed games, there are 50 to collect in total, and you gt extra points for them too. I though this was kind of cute and was determined to get Nurse Bob…which I did….however hubby got the rest, apparently he has the steadier hands.

The buzzer remains the same and it still gets you, hubby kept laughing at me when I would set it off and jump. This is ideal for all ages really as we had a blast and I know lots of munchkins who would also love it, a perfect addition to Family Game Night for sure!

Definitely a fun game to go along with the fun from the movie, we’re hooked.

Did you play Operation as a kid? Are you a Minion fan?
