Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge. A Biography for Children

Kate Middleton Biography for ChildrenAs my regular readers and darling friends will know, I am a HUGE Kate fan. I adore her. I think she is a wonderful role model for girls especially, but youth all over with her genuine care and concern for others emanating in her projects and, her smile. To me she is the epitome of grace and elegance (and I dream of her closet too, but that’s another story ;)).

Susan Barnett Braun has written the loveliest book about the Duchess and I was fortunate enough to give it a read and now, to report back to you.

I love it. Plain and simple. The book is written as a fairy tale story (which in a lot of ways it really is) and flows so beautifully.  It is a chapter book, which is perfect for story time and making the book last and keeping the interest high. It really adds a level of realism to Kate the way it is written and tells her story as it paralleled Williams’ upbringing and the major events in his youth. Susan tells us about Kate’s youth and how ‘normal’ it really was, it makes her relatable. An example is that Kate was actually a victim of some bullying. I didn’t know that, but I was too, and a lot of kids are. These small insights into her youth bring the reader closer to her and show that these obstacles can be overcome and beautiful and amazing things can happen, you really never know.

I can absolutely picture having special mommy-munchkin tiaras on while you read this and if your little one loves Kate as much as I do, this book would make the perfect Princess gift. You can get it at Amazon by clicking here. And check out Susan’s Facebook page for more fun here.

Happy Reading!
